The Children's Leadership Institute

NEW!  The Children’s Leadership Institute is the parallel program to the Parent Leadership Institute (PLTI).  Children (ages 3 -12) of PLTI students receive age-appropriate lessons covering similar topics as the ones their parents are learning. The CLI curriculum is centered on democracy, civics and systemic improvement with a literacy component and a multiple intelligences approach. It teaches children what leadership is and how to make a difference in their school and community.  CLI students are given age-appropriate books to take home at every session and their homework is to discuss with their parents the similar topics they have learned.  Every week the children report on what they have learned to their parent’s PLTI class.

Both the Parent Leadership Training Institute and the Children’s Leadership Institute take place at Everett Community College and are free of charge.
